Leg Wrap Trapeze

Yo-Yo Trick

Next trick we are going to show you is called Leg Wrap Trap. This is actually another one of my favorite tricks. It's really good for stage performances or just when you are showing off. It's a really good show off trick. What you do is, it's actually gonna go in between my legs and it comes around and you catch it behind your back. Looks like this. So let me show you what it looks like first and then I will break it down for you guys. The yo-yo comes around, shoots forward, and you catch it behind you back, like so. It's really impressive, you practice that and people are going to be like you?re a yo-yo pro. Definitely worth the effort. So the first step, throw a break away. You take your, whatever your throw hand is, if it's your right hand, it's your right leg, and if it's you left hand, it's you left leg. For me, it's my right arm so my right leg goes forward. I take the yo-yo and I throw it and I swing it, it's actually going to swing through my leg like so. As it does this I kind of step the other leg forward and what I allow the yo-yo to do is make a full circle. It makes a full circle like that and then just as it is coming back around you bring your other leg forward and its going to shoot across through behind that. This is where you bring your pointer finger and land it into a trapeze behind, like so. So, let me show you again. You might have to watch the video a couple of times to get the whole motion of it. The other thing that might help is as you're doing it grab a little bit of the string. It helps to shorten the string a little bit before you swing it through. Step forward, bring it through, step other foot forward, and then you catch it in the back. Let me do this a couple of times for you guys. Just to watch, forward, forward, slow down the video and watch that a couple of times. It's right foot forward as the yo-yo swings through, you bring your left foot forward and the yo-yo comes back through the leg and that's when you catch it into a trapeze. The catch is also tricky to, your gonna need your hand ready to go right back there, again you want to try and bring your finger as close to the yo-yo as possible. That's really gonna help you catch that in part. The more you practice, the better you are going to get at it. Try and get a really strong straight sleeper, that's going to help you get it through your legs. It's going to make it a lot easier to catch that yo-yo on the string when you come through. Practice that and you'll be ready to impress.
