The SUDO is a project that’s been a year in the making, born from reflection, experience, and a deep connection to one of Static Co.’s most beloved designs, the Parlay. It represents evolution through subtle refinement, capturing the spirit of the original while carving out its own unique identity.

The story of the SUDO begins with a rescued copper-plated Parlay that never saw full release. That version left a lasting impression, inspiring the creation of something that carried its essence forward. From that moment, the idea for the SUDO took shape. Built from 7075 aluminum, it maintains the approachable feel of the Parlay but adds extra weight and stability in just the right places for a more controlled, confident play experience.

The SUDO features flow groove response for perfect compatibility with flowable silicone and a smoother, more balanced feel on every throw. While it shares visual similarities with the Parlay, the SUDO stands apart through refined edges, rounded contours, and a focused, modern design that honors its roots while moving beyond them.

Influenced by classics like the Bapezilla 2, the SUDO blends performance and nostalgia, finding a balance between the light, playful feel of the Parlay and the weighty control of the Bapezilla 2. It’s the bridge between two eras of yo-yo design, built for players who appreciate detail, craftsmanship, and purpose.

Created in collaboration with One Drop, the SUDO was designed in the spirit of friendship and creativity, taking shape through quiet moments and real conversations. It’s not built to chase speed records or win contests, but to remind players why they fell in love with yo-yoing in the first place.
