Spotlight Ultra

I read the other review opinions an here is my opinion. The Spotlight Ultra is a great yoyo isn't a bad monometal yoyo. The vibe experience mentioned from someone other then myself maybe a problem with that yoyo but I own all the colorways and never experienced this. The person in the other review mentioned getting back into yoyoing seems more like the issue with his throwing technique and string setup. Talking about string and technique isn't for me to explain here. The point is you invest in the right string, measure it correctlly, regular adjust the tension and focus on your throw technique.Any yoyo can vibe from a bad throw but on the Spotlight Ultra as a pro signature model. Trust me, t's not the yoyo itself being badly manufactured that's the players ability that's needs to be questioned. I never had this vibe issue. What I can say is the soin is okay could be improved with a different bearing that is able to spin longer. Hunter uses NKS bearings exclusively so that's his setup along with OT fat string. He can make this yoyo shine with greatness that it deaerve. Anyone else they should understand it's not the yoyo, it's the talent that makes the yoyo awesome or suck.

This yoyo is the first one I’ve touched in a while, I’ve stopped playing because of school and life but I’ve always loved yoyo. I really trust this cite and it’s honestly really good place to buy yoyo stuff but this time I’m not satisfied. I was really excited to get back into yo-yoing and decided that this would be the yoyo to get back into it since my older one was lost when I moved. The shape is great the finish on the coloring makes grind tricks addictive and although finger spins aren’t great I expected it by the shape so no harm no foul. I love the color way and its weight is perfect, the only problem I have is the ridiculous amount of vibe this yoyo has. I might be over dramatic but for the price point I expect little to no vibe especially for a more modern yoyo. My older yoyo was a 40 dollar yoyo with less vibe, considering this one was almost double in price it’s really bumming me out. All that being said this won’t discourage me from getting back into yoyo but it sure does feel really sucky and will make me think twice about the next yoyo I buy. Other than the vibe which is very bad in my case the yoyo itself reminds me of the fun yoyo can be, the nostalgia makes me happy.

Compared to the OG Spotlight (which had lame spin time but an excellent shape) this newer model is sooo much better. Spin time has been mysteriously enhanced with the same great shape. However, I lost control of the yoyo during a neck trick and chipped a tooth. It really sucked. I don't fault the yoyo but do believe the yoyo is too fast. Good yoyo though.
