Raijin
The Japanese god of thunder descends from the skies. Meet the Raijin.
Crafted from premium 7075 aluminum, Raijin is Sengoku’s widest monometal design to date with a profile that stretches beyond 50mm. Every millimeter is used to create a massive catch zone, giving you one of the most forgiving and confident string catches in modern design.
Even with its sharp and powerful look, Raijin offers play that feels light and floaty. It moves with ease on the string and brings a fun, versatile feel that works across styles. The wide profile shines in 1A with big flowing tricks and risky mounts. Its balance and stability also make it a strong choice for 5A counterweight play.
With weight distributed for spin power without the need for added rims, Raijin shows off Sengoku’s design skill. A yo-yo with thunderous presence that stays controlled and refined in every throw.
Shawn Garcia Tribute:
The Shawn Garcia Edition Raijin was created as a tribute to Shawn Garcia and his long-standing contributions to Sengoku. He was invited to select a special Raijin colorway in recognition of his years of creative work, with the model’s wide profile serving as the ideal canvas for a bold design.
Shawn chose a solid orange colorway, remarking that the world needed more orange yo-yos. He passed away just weeks before the release, but not before receiving the Raijin, playing it, and photographing it, with one image captured only days before his passing. For nearly a decade, Shawn photographed Sengoku models, helping define the brand’s visual identity and elevating every design he touched. This release fulfills his final request for a yo-yo colorway and is presented in his name with the support of his family.
