Lamina β

The Lamina β shares the same shape, size, and material as the Lamina α, but delivers a distinctly different feel through a refined approach to weight distribution. As part of atmos projects’ Research and Design lineup, the Lamina explores playfeel as something experiential rather than purely spec driven.

The β version uses a flat hub with no added center weight, placing proportionally more emphasis on rim weight. On the string, this translates to a lighter, cleaner, and more agile feel. Lamina β responds instantly to player input, changes direction quickly, and excels at fast, precise play.

The wide profile keeps the yo-yo stable and forgiving, while the reduced center presence allows it to feel zippy and effortless in motion. It maintains excellent control without feeling heavy or overbearing, making it ideal for players who enjoy speed, clarity, and sharp responsiveness.
