Kubrick
The Kubrick, an impressive prototype, unfortunately remained unrealized during Smashing's active period.
Jordan of OPYOYOS conceived three broad designs and facilitated a team vote to determine the chosen model for production, with the Kubrick emerging as the victor. Its primary goal wasn't to excel in yoyo performance, but rather to provide a satisfying experience for its size.
The name "Kubrick" was inspired by Raf, a team member with a deep passion for cinema and a strong fondness for Stanley Kubrick's movies. Given Kubrick's penchant for utilizing expansive lenses in numerous scenes, the name resonated well with the yoyo's wide design.
