Celebrating nine incredible years, YoYoFriends introduces the Hypercut, their first-ever hybrid yo-yo and the newest addition to the acclaimed Cut Series. Inspired by the bimetal Papercut, the Hypercut features a wider body, heavier stainless steel rims, and an increased overall weight for unparalleled power and performance in a hybrid design.

This modern hybrid yo-yo combines a durable polycarbonate body, a large aluminum hub for added center weight and aesthetics, and massive stainless steel rims—each over 21 grams—for incredible stability and spin strength. The slightly wider 46.5mm profile enhances the catch zone, while the total weight of 66 grams gives it a hefty yet balanced feel, ideal for both vertical and horizontal combos.

Built to deliver cutting-edge performance, the Hypercut represents YoYoFriends’ dedication to innovation and affordability, aligning perfectly with the brand’s tradition of high-performance, budget-friendly anniversary releases. Featuring a futuristic logo and a design that pushes the boundaries of hybrid yo-yo construction, the Hypercut is a true milestone in YoYoFriends’ history.

    Not durable for the price

Purchased mine a month ago. Was really enjoying it. Until it fell off my tv stand, which isn’t too high up, and now it has an intense wobble. For 70 dollars i wish it would’ve been constructed better. Thing is it didn’t even hit the ground during use, just a short fall from a surface. I wonder what kind of wobble it would have if I actually bumped the floor with it during use. Never had any kind of issues like this with the yoyojams with a similar design. I would have passed up on this one if I knew the build quality was cheap

    Top Tier

Feels amazing in the hand and on the string. One of my favorite's to use. My only complaint is that 46.5mm seems a bit narrow in 2025. A hybrid model based on this that breaks 50mm would be amazing,

You Can Feel the Power Before the First Throw

This is my first hybrid yoyo. I have mono/bi metals and plastics to compare it to. This thing is by far my most rim-weighted yoyo. When held in your hand and moved around, it almost feels weird to have such a large portion of the weight right at the outer edges and for the center of gravity to be nowhere near the densest part of the object. It has more stability than my bimetals, however, it does have a tad more fingernail vibe. Given the fact it's a tri-material model, this is to be expected. However, visually, no vibe can be detected. The Hypercut is now my widest and heaviest yoyo. It does feel a little heavy through the air, but makes up for it by ALWAYS making it back to your hand with its extreme spin power. The semi H shape (i think) is very comfortable. My only complaint is that the edge of the edge, where the steel folds thin (thin relative to my bimetals) can hurt when it hits bone hard. The included bearing is fantastic! It feels and sounds like a freshly cleaned bearing run with no lube. The best of my ~20 bearings, no doubt, at least measured in loss of power, or lack-there-of. It's a bit noisy, but people tell me it sounds cool. I definitely prefer the NSK bearings all things said, but even they lose power faster than whatever concave bearing they included with the Hypercut. I think I'm going to get a classic iCEBERG (legendary hybrid yoyo with similar shape) , and a Papercut (the yoyofriends yoyo this model was based off of) to compare to this!
