In an epic celebration of C3yoyodesign’s 15th Anniversary, two of yo-yoing’s most creative forces, Caribou Lodge and C3 have joined together to bring something truly legendary to life: The H5 LEAF.
Born from a conversation between Caribou Lodge founder Chris Mikulin and C3 design master Ron Chan, the H5 LEAF is a fusion of heritage, innovation, and pure fun. This hybrid powerhouse pays homage to the legacy of four iconic throws: the Chief (2011), H5 (2011), H5Chief (2012), and the LEAF (2024), blending them into a bold new design that breaks boundaries and brings the best of both brands into one unforgettable return top.
What started as an idea to create Caribou Lodge's first hybrid yo-yo and C3’s first polycarbonate with an inner metal ring quickly evolved. Thanks to an unreleased sketch of the LEAF from yo-yo legend Steve Brown, the H5 LEAF concept was born! Merging wide performance-driven shape with nostalgic double-rim aesthetics.
The result? A massive, floaty, and seriously fun yo-yo with modern comp-level performance. With a polycarbonate body, 6061 aluminum inner weight ring, and a super-wide stance, the H5 LEAF is designed to spin hard, move effortlessly, and make even your hardest tricks feel like a breeze. Feedback from top players like Matthew Poon helped refine the design to ensure it could handle the spotlight, literally making finals at PNWR in its prototype stage.
Each H5 LEAF includes a special edition shiny panda sticker and delivers the kind of creative energy you’d expect from two of the most innovative names in yo-yo design.

Love the spin time on the yoyo and the feel is great, didn’t realize it was gonna be so big but makes it fun to play with considering its the biggest one I’ve gotten so far.

A great yo-yo that came with a less than great bearing. Even after cleaning the spin time was practically non existent.
I installed a Pixel Bearing and now it plays quite well.

This is a very cool and interesting throw. It feels very similar to the CLYW Cliff in a sense, yet very unique from either the chief/leaf or the cliff. This is the first 28 stories throw I’ve ever purchased, mainly due to never really being interested. The colors on this throw however collide in a way that that are very unique to me. I’ve seen plenty of the 28 stories color-way, however, this is the first time I’ve been captivated by it. I’m not a huge fan of the aluminum and poly carbonate, but it makes this throw feel unique to anything I’ve ever owned or thrown. Love the panda medallion, and more than anything listed so far, I love the IGR. One thing I always wanted the Chief to have, and I understand why it doesn’t go with the purpose of the Chief/leaf, was an IGR. Overall, this is a very cool, and unique, collaboration from two epic companies who have influenced the community for a long time, and I’m very grateful to have it in my collection. If you have a chance, pick it up!

Really Powerful and Long Spinning, would give 5 stars, but the PC body developed cracks in the areas meeting aluminum, It's going to be played until it explodes..thanks yoyoexpert for the opportunity to review..I do love it so much however, and I got a 2nd one in 28 stories..!!
