Great Intro Yo-Yo - Learn The Basics

The Proyo by Duncan is a great introductory yo-yo for players looking to just do the basics. This yo-yo does not have a ball bearing so you won't want to use this for string tricks but it is excellent for the "beginner" level.

The yo-yo features a wooden axle with a take apart design so you can still get your knots out easily.

You won't be learning advanced string tricks on this but great for beginner tricks like the Sleeper, Walk the Dog, Forward Pass, Around the World, etc.

Overall just fun to play with and practice those classic trick!

Good beginner yo-yo
This has a unique design that allows for fixed wooden axle play in a plastic body, resulting in a nice smooth feel without sacrificing durability. It is great for looping and simple tricks that do not require string play although you can do some basics like man-on-the-trapeze with it.
To be clear, this is NOT a high performance, long spinning yo-yo...but at this price, you should not expect it to be.

Garbage
I can't believe that Duncan made such a cheap yoyo. The side caps are cardboard. I had to take it apart as soon as I received it because the string was wrapped around the axle and I had to try and unravel it. Maybe I am not good at yoyoing, but I can't get the yoyo to come back up from sleeping. Very unresponsive. If this is a beginner yoyo then I feel bad because all you will do is make it go up and down.

Just for fun
The write-up on the description tab really does sum up this yoyo quite well. I have the translucent blue and red, and I think both look quite nice. I found these work well with Duncan Mod Spacers.
If you want a cheap and durable fixed axle this is a good option.
