The Sengoku BAKEMONO! 2/23 8PM.

Julio Robles, owner of Sengoku, is always looking to push the limits of yo-yo design and his latest model might have just reached those limits. This is the Bakemono!

This yo-yo was born of the idea that playable, fun and giant can exist in the same sentence, and after throwing it we have to agree! The Bakemono is one of the biggest yo-yos we have thrown, but it’s also one of the most fun and high performing yo-yos too!

After the successful release of the Masamaxx, Julio realized that a large and heavy yoyo is great for practice so he decided to take it one step further. The Bakemono is even bigger than the Masamaxx, yet a few grams lighter. The result is a beast – the Bakemono (monster in japanese) – It doesn’t feel too heavy on the string, it’s comfortable in the hand, it moves smooth and spins forever! A seriously fun throw unlike anything else!

A glance of the size. No one would say is so playable!

Looks super cool!

I still pull out my YYJ Big Yo every once in a while and do 1a on it. It’s a lot of fun! I’m sure this is way more usable, though.

Some comparison shots with the Sengoku Coldfire for reference:

Seems like there’s not much interest in this yoyo? Seems puzzling, since the Masamaxx sold out pretty quickly.

I ended up ordering one. I just really like to try unusual yoyos, and it seems like this would be really good for learning some kinds of new tricks, as well as providing a unique play experience. I’ll let you know how I like it!

I like big yoyos too (that’s what he said), so I’m curious what your thoughts are
