How do you guys prevent your top from getting ugly marks from your dry wall on it when it falls and slams into the wall

It's called aging of the top There isn't much you can do to prevent it except become better Give it time. Which top are you using ?

I notice if I don't use them they stay new J.K. they always find something to hit on a miss I like soft grass to practice on but in Minnesota that's only 7 months then look out I am inside I have a piece of used carpet in my basement and a carpeted area upstairs the rest is hardwood floors so I try to keep my practice to the safest area ;but they still find something to hit at times. good luck

Ahh i see. Im using a bearing king with a rusty bearing (it will be fine)
