Anybody know what's up with the Yoyonation forums?

I’m pretty sure this thread is fine, as the Yoyonation store no longer exists.

As some of you may know, Chris Allen has hosted the forums as an archive for the past few years. It is a fantastic historical reference with well over a million posts. I personally frequent the archives regularly. However, for the past month or so, the boards have been down. I tried emailing Chris Allen, but haven’t heard back.

Does anyone know what’s going on, or know Chris personally and can ask him?

Just noticed this yesterday too :frowning:

Over the past few years, there have been a few times when the site would be down for a day or two, but never was it down for a month/month and a half.

Anybody?

Guessing he’s out of the hobby and it just got too expensive to maintain the domain.

I can host it if I can get the files, or any way to contact him.

Chris hasn’t logged in since mid-March of this year. Probably busy with family etc.

Yoyonation is now back up and running, apparently. AWESOME! And it’s not just an archive now.
