2SickYoYos News Thread: The Knights are coming! (10/13/15 Update) Page 3

Well, I just got on facebook to see how to win and I guess I’m not entering. I don’t have the money right now to buy a Bishop. :’(

You know, when I heard that it was called a rook I thought it would be heavier because rooks are generally backbones of a chess game. However, i guess since it’s being a bimetal makes it cool though!

Thought the queen would be a titanium bimetal :S

Hopefully the pawn will be a budget metal :3

Unless he waits it out for enough of a fan base to offshore production, I can’t see that happening. Outsourcing production for small runs within the States? Not likely to ever be less than $80 at best. And he would probably be breaking even or taking a loss just to say that he did a “budget” yoyo.

Can’t help but be impressed with how things have gone Joey. You started with a dream of forming your own yoyo company, and now after 3 fantastic (and well received by the community at large) offerings, you’re moving right into bimetal territory. You’re a machine!

I have to say that from my experience with 2SYY so far, I have no doubt that this is going to be a fantastic yoyo. Will be keeping my eyes peeled. ;D

Welp, I officially need that yoyo. Time to sell my body

These two bimetals are gonna fit the fam so well. It Rooks like a beast  can’t wait to see the next level of boss from you guys!

When it came to designing the Knight, I wanted to do something different than what is already available. So with some very intricate design work I have created a truly unique looking and playing Yoyo. A lot of work and time designing has gone into this yoyo and I’m sure it will show.

The Knight is a competition ready Bimetal design. It features a truly unique and first of it’s kind aluminum body/ stainless steel ring design. Unlike the other bimetal yoyos coming out with a ring on the rim or on the inside of the cup, the Knights ring is actually an indented ring that is fitted in the rim of the aluminum body.

This gives 3 major advantages:

  1. Many Bimetal yoyos have issues with ring slippage which can lead to vibe or an unplayable yoyo. This ring placement is press fitted in the rim which means that there will be absolutely no ring slippage when the yoyo makes any bad contact.
  2. The indented ring allows for a unique weight placement that cannot be done like other yoyos. It allows for packing tons of rim weight into a confined location.
  3. The indented ring allows for a completely fresh and unique aesthetic to the yoyo. Since this is the first bimetal to use this ring placement it allows for a new look that you have yet to see.

This is a bimetal design that is made to slay competition. The power of spin to weight ratio is spot on which allows for long spin times. The Knight is full sized, wide, and light. The indented ring also gives this an insane amount of stability and keeps the yoyo in plane very well.

It features a very nice angular V shape that gives it a modern look. The cup features our 2sick ring that is known in our designs. It gives a ledge that helps guide fingerspins. The shape and cup both allow for the Knight to excel at all the different types of grinds. Features a C bearings and 19mm response. The gap is very large which allows for multiple string segments without being snaggy.

The Knight will feature 6 unique Acid wash/speckle colorways. A great blast that will allow for grinds yet keep the colors very vibrant. The vibrant colors plus the stainless steel ring give a great contrast that really makes the Knight stand out.

We’re well aware the many bimetals are extremely costly and while this is true among many I tried my best to keep it manageable. I wanted it to be affordable ( compared to other high end bimetals) but not sacrifice the performance or quality.

I am really proud the introduce the 2sickYoYos Knight!

The Knight will ride in November, 2015…prepare yourself smile emoticon

Siiiiiiiiiick.

Awesome!!!
So, the Knight will be released before the Rook?

Joey man, you’re killing it with these designs. To see this kind of innovation out of a (relatively) smaller company is just awesome. The ring-inside-rim is a fantastic idea, and it gives it a really clean look, almost like it has polished rims like the Werrd JPX or 83600, only functional.

The profile/catch zone of this looks sensational as well, really clean lines and looks like a delight to hold/throw. Great weight too.

All of this for $150…? Bargain. Colour me impressed. ;D

Will there be any 7075 Knights avaliable?

You know I’m a sucker for 2Sick 7075!
