It always seems YoYoFactory is a little ahead of the curve in yo-yo design. When they first released the original Avant Garde it was unique and controversial. The undeniable response was that it played like a champ and was fun and new. With Avant Garde 2 YoYoFactory rethinks their shape and weight distribution to an even more extreme level.
With Avant Garde 2 radical and extreme is what comes to mind. The inner gap area features such an extremely inner curved area that immediately cuts away from the bearing. With less surface area around the gap it gives completely dead smooth unresponsive play and is extremely forgiving on the string with less surface area to slow down the yo-yo against the string.
