You are never too old to enjoy yo-yos. If you have never been to a yo-yo contest, you will be really impressed. Come watch or join our 5th annual Southern California Yo-yo Championship. Desert Recreation District sponsors this free event for participants and spectators. Do not miss out on the fun. Participants come from all over California and Arizona. The Southern California Yo-yo Championship will be held at The River in Rancho Mirage on Saturday, January 28, 2012. Registration begins at 9:00am. Competition begins at 10:00am If you have never attended a Yo-yo contest before, you do not know what you are missing. Our judges are Bill deBoisblac, a former Grand Master Yo-yo Champion, Patrick Mitchell a National Champion and Yoshi Mikamoto a National competitor. Desert Recreation District provides excellence in recreation to communities throughout the CoachellaValley.
