iYoYo has done some really impressive work over the past year and put out a bunch of new and innovative designs. With all of their new models they look to the yo-yo community for feedback, and with their latest model they took it one step further. The Hidra was designed in collaboration with one ambitious US student and yoyo player who has created dozens of CAD yo-yo renderings in his spare time – Ze’ev Yehuda!
When iYoYo came across all of the designs that Ze’ev had created, they knew they had to work with him. They talked to Ze’ev, picked a design, and went to work turning one young yo-yo player’s dream into a reality! After a prototype and a few tweaks, the Hidra was born!
The Hidra is a really fun full sized design that fits perfectly in the iYoYo lineup. The large h-shape profile offers an incredible stable and solid feel on the string and provides a great catch zone for those risky tricks. It has a really relaxing and laid back feel that is great for everyday play and an amazing spin time that is perfect for practicing new combos!
Based on the popular HiDRA shape and designed with competition level play in mind, the AiR DiVE has a really unique look, a balanced feel in play, and performance that will rival any 4A throw out there!
Unlike most offstring yo-yos, this one features some massive rims, measures in as slightly undersized for an offstring throw, and as a result has a crazy powerful spin that give you tight binds even after the longest combos. The flat cup design also allows for impressive fingerspin tricks!
AiR DiVE has been tested by some of the World’s best offstring players and with 2x European Champion Quentin Godet throwing it in his upcoming contests we’re expecting to see some big things!
