So you guys might have seen me doing this, just rewinding the yo-yo quickly, like that. It definitely helps to do that when you're performing if you mess up just to rewind the yo-yo quickly, and it doesn't take as long as to wind the yoyo normally. So what you want to do is start with the yoyo dead on the string (not spinning) and what you're going to do is hold here, pretty tight. Then grab the yo-yo like this, like you're putting backspin on it, thatís what you want to do with your thumb. You're going to be pulling here with your throw hand and you're going to be putting backspin on it with your other hand and then pulling at the same time because you want to get it spinning as quickly as you can so it can come back to your hand. So pull with both hands, use your thumb to put spin on it backwards, like that, but you're going to do it a lot harder, like that. And then just pull it back. So it should be spinning a little, like that, and then you can just bring it back to your hand. It takes a lot of practice but once you get it it's really helpful in learning to do offstring. So that's how you wind it up like that.
