Aluminum alloys used for yoyos

6020 is an aluminum alloy that’s lead free and it’s been around since 1996

We love you Sengoku. Keep pushing that envelope. ;D

Henrys Aluminum YoYos are lead free ever since. They just claim it is airplane Aluminum. dunno what alloy in particular but the feel way different to all the other brands

I will leave it as “lead free” instead of “the only lead free”, thats what the maker claimed, at least as far as I know Is the currently stronger commercially available AL alloy (according to Wikipedia) .
Is not 6020.
One thing is for sure, Is stronger than 6061, 7075 or Alumigo Hard. We just finish anodizing test successfully and are working on protos.

is it the lithium thing?

Whatever you do, please make monometals out of that stuff!

i just died

Is that an artists rendering or an actual yoyo?

I was wondering that myself.

welp I want to think it’s 3d but…

I need that!

I have analyzed this closely…it most definitely is NOT an artists rendering.

agreed

Actually it could be a render. If you have played around with photo-realistic 3d rendering before, I’m sure you’ve seen some unbelievable stuff. The lighting is somewhat odd, I don’t know if it was the camera or pseudo-ambient light.
This was what I got back then, I’m not an expert on this but I can get it this far. Imagine what a skilled person can do.

That’s pretty cool what you did there.

Whether NeoHamster’s was a render or not, he plans on making monometals out if that stuff and I’m excited about it.
