I'm thinking to make myself a spin top or two out of wood, specifically mahogany. Anyone had a base design/pictures/measurements as a starting point? I have no experience with spin tops but I'm willing to learn, maybe make different designs and see the difference myself. I have no problem with woodworking, only the design.

It his difficult to follow exact measurements when you first start, just follow your intuition and make a shape that you like.  As you learn to play on store-bought tops, you will want to experiment with your own creations.
