You mean “Chopin”?

I love Chopin, Rachmaninov, Bach, Shostakovich, Debussy, and Brahms.

yes as in chopin miss type sorry…

my love for his music was made when i listened to a immigrant polish pianist play most of his more famous pieces

I particularly love his Ballades, the Barcarolle, and some etudes (opus 25 no 12!)

right now i am playing prelude in E minor for a recital… it isnt hard it is just so technical to not let the lower staff over power the melody

Oh that’s a cool one. Good luck! I’m going for Certificate of Merit level 8 tomorrow.

I’m playing Rachmaninov’s prelude in b minor
Bach toccata in e minor
Beethoven “Pastoral” sonata
and a spanishy gypsy dance by Turina.

thats quite the round up…

it had been a little since i played classical pieces and im glad i got back into it…

there is just something to say about how well the baroque and classical writers put their pieces together

I’m glad to hear you got back into it too! Not many people appreciate real music these days. (Not to say all artists these days aren’t real; some are beautifully poetic.)

I’m not a fan of classical (1750-1830) music, but baroque is really fun to play with the polyphonic texture.

i also like debussy and the impressionist… they are the original pop writers…

Oh let’s see…
Odesesza
Paramore
Plain white t’s
Panic! At the Disco
Tristam
MrSuicudeSheep (on sound cloud)
Lindsay stifling

Lots of punk but I’d be happy with just:
The Sonics
The Stooges
Reel Big Fish and Me First & The Gimme Gimmes for moments I need happy stuff.

Oh and RJD2. And Ratatat.

And last but most best… The Flaming Lips. Particularly early stuff and favorite “new” record of theirs At War With the Mystics. I could listen to “The Wand” every day for the rest of my life. And “Strangers” from the Kinks.

Too much music.

Edit - can’t believe I forgot Queen and ELO!
