i bought the YYJ Speed Maker, for like 15$, i can do most beginner tricks, was this yo yo a good buy? or would you recommend a different or better throw?  if so please reply and give you're opinion Smiley

Sure. I think the YoYoJam Legacy would be a better choice though. It's got more modern guts though. Swap bearings for responsive/unresponsive play, modern repsonse system.

Then again, you could remove the ring from the Speed Maker and silicone it and shim it out a bit to make it less responsive. I have a Speed Maker. I'm not really liking it as much as I thought I would. It's not bad, but perhaps it's just not what I was looking for. At any rate, I like having a bunch of inexpensive plastic yoyos around so if new people want to try, I have stuff handy.
