I don't know if anyone has said this tip yet, but if you are having trouble with string tricks, first, you want to work on your sleeper and get a good, strong throw. Next, if the yoyo dies out to fast, you should consider putting in a speed bearing. Buy one if you don't have one. After you put in the speed bearing, you should learn bind since that is the only way to get a yoyo that has a speed bearing into your hand. I ope this helped someone who was having trouble with their yoyo dieting out too fast! Remember, work on your throw and keep on yoyoing!

When yoyoing in public and a lot of people are watching, be courteous. If someone is uneasy (i.e. afraid you'll hit them) assure them you've done this many times and know the length of the string very well. Or avoid all that and simply move a little farther away from that person (even during a trick). People keep watching, you keep throwing, that person isn't in danger of being hurt and everyone is happy.  Smiley

Don't know whether it's been said already but it's worth repeating even if it was.

When doing 2A or looping in general, make sure to keep checking your string tension. Too tight or too loose of a string tension will cause more difficulty in controlling your loops. Furthermore, too loose of a string tension may cause the yo-yo to detach itself from the string and hit someone/something. Learn to master sidewinders with both hands to easily control your string tension.

When you're looping make sure to flick your wrist when it is coming back. If your not very good at that, learn how to duck!!!

Never jump into a ball pit with a yoyo in your pocket. My friend almost lost the DV888 I had sold him a few hours before when he did that.

2A tips:
Hop the fence IS NOT up and down motion, it's a careful wrist flick, the power comes from there.
The best way to master loops is to do it blindfolded.
You should be able to let the yoyo sleep easily, yet it doesn't sleep on it's own when looping.
Don't use your arm power on loops, flick your wrist.
At first, when using your wrist power, the yoyo is probably feels less controllable, just practice a lot you will get it eventually.
The words of wisdom:
train yourself!
never give up!
wrist flick!
be patient! don't rush it!

Make sure there are no knots in your string because otherwise when you throw the yoyo it might come back and hit you in the face. Also make sure your yoyo has a good bearing

Also make sure you use a winged shaped unresponsive yoyo for looping tricks, and a bumble bee for  master string tricks. Cool This is really good advice, the bigger the yoyo the better and the more expensive ones (such as the bumble bee)  are better too.

Please stop spamming on threads about the bumble bee and don't give bad advice.

Sorry, think my bro used my account.

For the spamming part.

No matter how hard you try, your skill level will never be asian.  Unless you already are.

All the technical tips aside, the most important tip in yoyoing by far is to find what unique style suites you. If your not expressing your own style through the yoyoing then its just like tracing someone elses drawing. It doesn't give you the same feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. So watch as many styles as you can find. When you start to like certain peoples yoyoing try to find trends in how they yoyo. More than likely that will lead you to finding what style of yoyoing suites you most. For me i have found that most of the peoples styles that i really like focus most of there yoyoing right in front of them. They don't only go behind there backs or at least don't always go behind there backs and as a result i stopped yoyoing behind my back and found much more pleasure in focusing my tricks right in front of me. But at the same time you want to build a very strong foundation of tricks through all styles of yoyoing before zeroing in on that one style that makes you the happiest because even though they may not be the most fun tricks that you can do they will still strengthen your knowledge of yoyoing and make you a more well rounded yoyoer.
