I've found toxics in particular wash up really well. running them through a wash/dry cycle brings them back to life.

(of course that only works if they're not frayed by a rough unpolished string zone)

Really? Some of my MarkMont Dragon Strings are pretty dirty. How exactly do you do it?

I figure that PINK toxic string would wash great...  Wink

I'm also quite curious as to how you would get string through the wash... Do you just leave them in you trouser pocket before you throw them in the wash?

I actually have never tried Toxic strings, I really need too, but I got no money, and I am almost out, hopefully I can wait. I don't know, otherwise I might not be yo-yoing for a while.  Cry

I tried a toxic string at school on a friend's yoyo and it was amazing, on par with the string I make which I consider the best string ever.

...then I went on YYE last night and it was out of stock.

I just throw them in the wash with the rest of my laundry. Works great. They do get a bit twisted together, but easy to get them apart.

Love love love my new HAZMAT!  it's full size with so much play.  You can feel the yoyo without it being a cadillac...if you know what I mean.  Plus I got a nice color way; bronze atom.  Its stable and fun.  I was able to take advantage of the grenade offer and it has become one of my daily throws.

I know I wrote a good review on toxic strings and I DON'T want to take away from that but I tried toxic in my Dietz and it became responsive. my knuckles are starting to hurt bad. when I go back to my highlights and hamstring it's dead unresponsive again. Tried putting on the one from my code 2 because its broke in and same thing, responsive knuckle killer. It's to thick I think. Works fine in the code 2. Undersize vs. regular size. I don't know. I do know there are different strings available like the dragonstring. But the dragon is type 14 which is way thick. Is there a smaller string that toxic makes that whips through the air just as well but is the thickness of like type 6?

Are you sure that's the string's fault? Try cleaning the bearings from the YoYos and try again. It can't see how changing the string could make a YoYo that much more responsive...
