Introduce Yourself!

Lots of us ā€œold folksā€ (Iā€™m 42) around these parts. Welcome newcomers of all ages!

Hi my name is Taylor?

Hello Taylor?

LOL angryskills you donā€™t even know your name!!! XD

Iā€™m Jerwin, an intermediate Yoyo-er. I started using Yoyos about 3 years ago when I received a Duncan Wheels for Christmas. That wheels broke after a couple months. The next Christmas, I got ANOTHER Wheels. I really got into basic tricks and looping with it, which I think is pretty impressive. Itā€™s extremely hard to learn looping with a butterfly yoyo ;). I decided to learn string tricks, so I bought a Duncan Throw Monkey a few months ago. A month ago I bought an unresponsive yoyo. Right now Iā€™m learning some string tricks on my Magic Shadow T8 and 5A on my Throw Monkey (which is my favorite yoyo).

Welcome Jerwin!
I learned loops with a butterfly yoyo as well! I learned with the mosquito by Duncan never got really good at loops cause I was more interested in learning bigger tricks. :stuck_out_tongue: my second yoyo was the lime light which comes stock with a wood axle so I modded it with bearings and it became a glow in the dark speed beetle! (highly advise this for fun and play around with loops and makes it more showy! :D) My friend later got me the flying squirrel this got me lightly into 5A but never gotten very far with it. :stuck_out_tongue: Also liked the Flying squirrel cause it is almost the mosquito being a flare shape not a butterfly with four metal balls added two on each side for weight! XD Made it sleep a little longer and added a chatter every time the yoyo would become unstable. :stuck_out_tongue: Ended up giving the limelight to the friend that gave me the flying squirrel and the lime light no longer glowsā€¦ :frowning: now I use my most beat yoyo the t5 Overlord by Magicyoyo of 5A. The Overlord was my 5th unresponsive yoyo out of which two of the preceding yoyos are still in one piece! XD (the two before were my first yoyos the hit man pro, which I killed when I stepped on it while campingā€¦ and the other one the SR-71 wouldnā€™t unscrew so I killed the plastic part to get the bearing out of it. :P) so now you know about my fun life with yoyos! XD

Hello, everyone!

My name is Caleb and I have been yoyoing for many many years. When I was Younger I yo-yoed on and off. But now I am back into it and will stay. I have done several performances, and now make videos. My favorite throws are, Yoyofactory Supernova, Shutter, and anything from Werrd. My favorite tricks are some of Zach Gormleys, and Kamikaze.

Thank you Andre for helping me learn everything I know.

Hello, my name is Federico, I am from Italy, 38 years old, and I am totally newbie about yoyoing!
I used to play (years ago) with old, wooden, responvive yoyosā€¦ but recently i discovered on Youtube unsersponsive yoyosā€¦ and I was amazed!
So I did buy my first ā€œmodernā€ yoyo: yoyofactory One (so I can learn both responsive and unserponsive tricks).
Unfortunately I donā€™t have any friend to teach meā€¦ so I will try to learn watching YT videosā€¦ quite hard, but not impossible, I hope!
I already have a question for youā€¦ Iā€™ll go to post it right now in the correct section of the forum.
Thank you in advance for the help you will give me.
And sorry for my basic englishā€¦ I hope you could understand everything
Federico

Hi everyone! My name is Gavin, I have a YouTube channel called GavinH. As well and Iā€™ve got some really great tricks in hand there so check it out. My favorite yoyo is the IYOYO Steele . Iā€™ve been yoyoing for almost a year but it all Iā€™ve been doing and my progression is insane, never thought to be this good- I hope this will connect with other players and help out my channel! Thank you!

Your English is great. Those old wooden yoyoā€™s help you realize just how much the sport has matured and grown. Have Fun!

I came in to yo-yoing by my teacher. Her name was Mrs.Duncan and naturally I wanted to use word play. She said It was ok for me to keep it so I went to the website on the back. Now Iā€™ve been throwing for 4-5 years now and Iā€™m working on meeting some groups in my area. I found out about the website by my bud Jay who does kendama and know a handful of professionals.

Good to see some other seasoned (donā€™t like to use the use the old word) players on here! Iā€™m 34 and my people say itā€™s funny to see a grown man playing with a yoyo

Hello, I play yoyo even Iā€™m 30. So, I donā€™t care even laugh at me.
