I don't know what it is but it looks like a seasick from a GT.

Peak, Speeder.
34  YoYoExpert Forums / Yo-Yo Modification and Maintenance / Re: Dented DMII rims on: February 13, 2011, 01:15:30 AM
Well, my philosophy is if it spins alright, don't mess with it because it might get worse. If the ding really irks you because of grinding, I would send it out to be smoothed out. I wouldn't risk doing it yourself if you don't know how to. Please note, if you sand one side down, you need to sand the other to balance to yoyo.

To 1slave25, the situation above might be your problem.

Hope this helps!

37  YoYoExpert Forums / Looking for Help/Recommendation / Re: I just bought a 10 ball bearing and it is making weird noises on: February 12, 2011, 04:06:21 PM
How long have you had the bearing? It usually takes 1 - 2 weeks to break in the bearing. The situation you're talking about suggests that there probably is something inside it. I would clean the bearing just to be safe before using it again. You don't want a siezed/broken bearing.

Otherwise, the sound comes from the yoyo being dry.

I don't usually throw 4a but I would say to pull the string away from the yoyo faster. The concept is like pulling a ripcord (no pun intended) XD. Also, a quick but light flick of the wrist to no throw it but to spin the yoyo.

Cheers.

Do it in the summer. I'll be in Cape Coral.

I wouldn't worry about dents in a yoyo. It's natural. All the fillers do is add more mass onto the yoyo (unevenly if I may add). So I wouldn't recommend adding fillers. I would just let the dents/scratches be.

Cheers,

41  YoYoExpert Forums / General Yo-Yo Forum / Re: Define Yoyoing on: February 09, 2011, 02:59:22 AM
In an artistic philosophical sense:
A vessel in which one can use to either escape to a world of relaxation and enjoyment, express your emotions with or a symbol of the accomplishments motivation and hard work does.

Possibly a nostalgic tool?

In a literal sense:
The art of moving a spinning object on a string.
Tongue

Guy Wright's definition:
A Portable Happy Machine.

'Nuff Said.

Ouch. I did that too with my Peak. It was not fun. :C
43  YoYoExpert Forums / General Yo-Yo Forum / Re: The "Waiting For My New Throw, So Excited." Thread on: February 05, 2011, 03:08:40 PM
The sleep also does depend on the yoyoer. If someone else can make the yoyo sleep for 9 min. It doesn't mean you can too. It just has the possibility of doing so.

Also, wouldn't this be considered to be in the general talk section? I mean it is yoyo related.
44  YoYoExpert Forums / General Yo-Yo Forum / Re: You know you're obsessed with yoyoing when... on: February 05, 2011, 02:49:47 PM
When your favorite numbers are 54, 28, etc  Wink

44 Grin

Also, when you are too busy to practice yoyoing so you loop and do homework at the same time. XD
45  YoYoExpert Forums / Looking for Help/Recommendation / Re: what yoyo should i get? on: February 05, 2011, 02:45:58 PM
I'm going to assume that you are fond of your revolution and would like something similar to that? I.E. Rounded Butterfly, Full sized yoyo around the heavy side.

If that, I would recommend:
Dark Magic II or atmosphere. from YYJ

If you're willing to try something new, I would try:
One for the fundametal yoyos from YYF if you don't mind using a little more money.
Possibly a Northstar.

However, we need your preferences to help you.
