Looking to delve into 2a and was wondering about string choices. just want to get some suggestions.
poly?
cotton?
nylon?

I think a lot of people use 50/50 poly/cotton, but don’t quote me on that.
I know nylon isn’t recommended, the friction from looping can melt it.
50/50 used to be the popular choice but now most people use 100% poly. It does wear out a little quicker and you may need to change strings more but performance-wise it’s what most people prefer.
My preference is cotton but it wears too fast looping so I mostly use 50/50 cotton/poly.
