This is how I hubstack a duncan. (This one honestly didn’t turn out so well lol)

First, start off by cutting the hole where the black plug goes.

Then, make sure it’s the size of the bearing. I make mine a press fit.

I bought a Freakhand and knowing the pads wouldn’t last long, I decided to deepen the Pad Recess. Really annoying to deepen it since there are holes under the caps and the jeweler’s screwdriver jumped each time I went over the holes. Turned out great though!!!
You can notice the recess is much deeper than the average Duncan Pad Recess.

And as you can see, it takes silicone very well. Nothing else was changed, still mint with a deeper recess.

Sweet mods. I was thinking about doing something similar to what you did to a butterfly XT as well, but am concerned it isn’t up to snuff with other modern yoyos. How does it play in the hybrid form?

You should get another Butteryfly XT and do a recess on both halves. Then compare to the Hybrid one.

Your work not only keeps getting more varied, but improving significantly as well!

I can’t say I’ve done it to a Butterfly XT, but hybrid response is just awesome in my opinion.

Also, sweet work! First time I saw this there wasn’t much to the thread and now it’s all kinds of stuff!

haha I don’t know if anyone else noticed but the color way is the same as a 1st run theory.

Actually, exact opposite. The lateral caps were lime and the body was blue on the Theory LOL
