What does your choice of yo-yo say about you?
The 44 represents the first undersized metal yo-yo YoYoFactory has created without its trademark ’stepped profile’ since the Grind Master in 2006. The focus is typically on high performance with the traditional precision expected from YoYoFactory as well as that consistent smooth many manufacturers still strive for.
The soft finish and deep lip pocket make it a treat to grind with. The deep anodize ensures no color or material will be removed by thumb grinding.
The stock response, silicone pad from Central Bearing Co works best with a flat bearing like the clean, dry SPEC bearing installed. Center Trac bearings will reduce the response slightly so a flowable silicone response may be required to ensure the snappy response and slip free throw of the stock set-up is maintained.
Spec-wise, there is nothing extreme. This is a main player yo-yo.
