- At minimum one picture taken by you.
- List three things that stood out about the play or design.

Other things that can be included but not mandatory (from our How to Post a Quality yo-yo Review on the forums)

So, you want to post a yo-yo review? Well first, you need to know how to write it and what to include! 3-4 sentences is not a well written review. When you read a review, you want to know if it is worth it and why.

Here are some items to include in your review:
- The Yo-Yo’s History (Who made it?, What year?, What has it been used to win?)
- The Yo-Yo’s Specifications (Weight?, Response Systems?, Diameter?, Gap Type?, Bearing Type?, Colors?)
- The Pros and Cons of the Yo-Yo (Whats the good and bad of the yo-yo?, Spin time?, Responsiveness?)
- Compare it! (How does this yo-yo compare to other yo-yos?)
- Closing Thoughts (Sum it up!)

Also, here is some specifications on what a good review should have.
- 8+ Sentences
- Excellent Grammar and Spelling
- Proper Capitalization and Punctuation
- Well Written

Now you know how to write a good yo-yo review! Help the world and fellow yo-yoers by posting reviews on the yo-yos you have!

YoYoSkills Berserker Review

Review | The Berserker by c3yoyodesign:

“Why does everyone like Wolverine?” my 11 year old self would ask the circle of comic geeks. I grew up around video game developers and comic book artists. This was at the birth of the PC Gamer era when games like King Quest and Monkey Island were being released. I lived in Oakhurst California, and [...]

YoYoSkills

YoYoSkills just reviewed the MVP – a seriously under rated yo-yo!
Checkout the review at the link below to read more about this great yo-yo.

Review | The MVP by YoYoFactory:

This is overdue. A year ago, I picked up a new in package MVP in a trade. I have been enjoying it off and on and have wanted to fit it into my review schedule when a gap came up. Well I don’t get gaps often. This week, I was supposed to review the TMBR [...]

YoYoSkills Review | The YoYoJam Pinnacle

Pinnacle YoYoJam YoYoSkills

YoYoSkills just did a review on the Pinnacle as a 5A yo-yo and they make some great observations.
Check it out:

Review | The YoYoJam Pinnacle:

I loved the YoYoJam Kickside. It had a classic shape that really complemented a casual players throw style. One of my favorite things about the Kickside was how durable it was. That yo-yo could take a beating. I always thought that the high impact celcon body made the Kickside great for 5a, especially for a [...]

HSpin Gorylla Review by High Speed YoYo

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Chris Rhoads over at High Speed Yo-Yo just posted an excellent review of the HSpin Gorylla.

The Gorylla is what you want to buy if you want the FULL Hspin experience. With the Gorylla you get the hybrid bearing, the Hspin anodized finish for superior grinds, and a more stable all around yo-yo. At $90 it is a little more expensive than the Beysick but at the same time you are getting all of what Hspin has to offer at a price that is still cheaper than their premium lines. In the end I find the Gorylla to be the best bang for the buck that Hspin has to offer.

YoYoSkills.com Reviews the YoYoFactory DNA

Yo-Yo Skills DNA Review

Yo-Yo Skills DNA Review

I am a big guy. 6’3 225lb. I have longer arms then I probably should, and my hands are big enough that I could probably palm a beached whale. While I love undersized yo-yo’s like the M1, Project, 888, Skyline, and Business, I really feel liberated by larger “full sized” yo-yo’s like the GM2, 401, California, Legacy, and Peak. When the California and GM2 were retired last year, I died a little bit inside. I loved the California and the GM2. When YoYoFactory announced they were going to release a full sized version of the 888, my heart skipped a beat. I am not the only one. On the various forums, there were cries of relief and excitement from a large spectrum of users with ranges or yo-yo preferences. Leaked pictures of the full sized 888 code named the DNA were responded to with applause and praise. Then the strangest thing happened. The DNA was released, and all you could hear were crickets. Was the yo-yo overlooked in the recent flood of Peak Releases? Where was the pomp and fanfare that should have accompanied this release? Why is the DNA being ignored? Well no more, I tell you. No more. With the DNA in hand I am happy to review this genetically engineered masterpiece for you. I present, the DNA by YoYoFactory.

More after the jump.
