OKAY EVERYONE … here is your chance to win this Palli Puffin!
Below are a few images created by Jason Week of CLYW’s best. BUT there is one problem … they aren’t SPOOKY enough!! We need your help! Take these images, colour over them, photoshop over them, paint over them … or don’t use them and draw your own CLYW character, sculpt them, paper mache them … anything goes!! Just share with us how you think Yeti, Puffin and/or Gnarwhal should be dressed for Halloween!! You can also just pick one character, no need to do them all. Also, there is no limit to the amount of entries.
Our favourite one will win the Puffin. We will also give out a few extra prizes as well!!

New Arctic Circle update from the Caribou Blog!
LOOK at those AMAZING colors and that beautiful design!
We are very excited to announce that the 1st run of Zach Gormley’s signature return top ‘the Arctic Circle’ will be ready very soon. Zach and I worked together on every detail of the design to create his dream throw. The Arctic Circle is a combination of the Chief’s double rims, the profile of the Avalanche and the convex face of the Canvas. It’s the perfect blend of 3 of our best return tops and done in a way that compliments each element. It’s a very clean design. Long spinner. Very Stable. The Arctic Circle is perfect for competition and will make you feel very confident on stage.
I am busy working away on assembly and am planning to do a small first release at Western Canadian Regionals in Vancouver, BC.
Pricing will be similar to the Chief: $135-$165 depending on the coulourway / edition. Bip Bop will be a little more, price TBA.

This is neat – Looks like CLYW has some near future plans for the Bear vs Man yo-yo and the new artwork is totally sick and has a good story to it!
We are very excited to announce that Boyd and I will soon be working on a new design for the Bear vs Man Round 2…AND the artwork for it will be by Jimbo Phillips.
It was a huge honour that Jimbo agreed to take on this project for us, as him and his father Jim are LEGENDS for the artwork that they have contributed to the skateboard and snowboard industry. Here’s a short bio from Jimbo’s website:
Jimbo is an artist from Santa Cruz, California, who was literally raised on eye popping graphics. His father, Jim Phillips, designed all the artwork for Santa Cruz Skateboards in the 70’s and 80’s and was the creator of the iconic “Screaming Hand” logo.
At age 18 Jimbo began working for his father doing graphics for the skateboard industry (Santa Cruz Skateboards), creating eye-popping graphics for t-shirt designs, decals, magazine ads, and skateboards.
In 1990 Jimbo started his own graphic art business for skateboard companies, designing logos for local surf shops, and silk-screening t-shirts and posters for local punk and metal bands. His client list grew and now includes great companies such as Santa Cruz Skateboards-Surfboards, Fox Racing, Sessions, DC Shoes, Fat Wreck Chords, Bell Helmets and Natal Design (Japan).

Caribou Lodge just announced the Arctic Circle via their Facebook page!
This will be the signature series of the AMAZING Zach Gormley – if you haven’t seen him before check out this video. He has a really great style.

So far the specs for the AC are 55mm x 40.6mm x 65g … but please remember this is a prototype so things may change. Shape might slightly change. Weight might change. Several things could change … hence why it is a prototype. Just wanted to share it with you all, because we are super excited.
I was really impressed with Zach while working on this. He was so particular with every single edge and curve. Like with all CLYW return-tops, Zach wanted each line/curve/radii to be balanced and to have a specific look. This is where we ended up and we really like it.
