YOYOFFICER created the Hatchet to show how some subtle changes can make a huge difference in how a yo-yo plays. They based this new yo-yo on one of their more popular designs, the Brave, and then tweaked it to give it a personality all of its own.
YOYOFFICER started by streamlining the Brave – they ironed out some of the curves to give it a more linear, angled design which makes it faster moving through the air. Then they beefed up the outer rims to increase stability and cut out the inner cup ring to change up the weight distribution and make the Hatchet lighter. The change in weight distribution and weight give this remodeled Brave a completely different feel.
