A certain degree of refinement has crept into the mix with subtle features like the wall step / 888 sized pad offering an unbeatable response combo and stepped rim to provide a balance of stability and agility.

Posted by Gave from Sector Y. To those not familiar with Sector Y this was a site that literally pushed yo-yoing further then anyone can comprehend. It was the first solid resource for yo-yo players to learn and trade tricks and it features some of the best and original innovators:

The original Sector Y website launched October 15th, 1999. It’s been a full decade since then. Over the past 10 years, yoyoing has evolved farther than anyone could have imagined. Contained inside every modern combo or trick are traces of the tricks from yesteryear. We have come a long way in the past decade. It’s time to sit back and reflect over the past 10 years, and think about what the next 10 years holds for us.
